πΈ Full Tour Description
Your tour begins with a visit to the Agadir fishing port, where you'll see
fishermen unloading their daily catch and learn about the city's maritime heritage. The harbor
includes two traditional fishing ports, a large commercial port, and a modern marina.
Next, ascend to the Agadir Kasbah, built in 1540 and located on a hilltop with
breathtaking panoramic views of the bay. Although the structure was rebuilt after the 1960
earthquake, the original charm and stunning sunsets remain a highlight.
Continue to Talborjt, Agadirβs old quarter, where you'll pass by two significant
mosques and experience the local neighborhood atmosphere.
Then, stop at the Souss Kasbah artisan market. This creative space showcases
handcrafted furniture made from recycled tires, blending Moroccan design with modern environmental
awareness.
From there, head to Souk El Had, Agadir's largest market. With over 6000 stalls,
it offers everything from fresh produce and spices to handmade crafts, electronics, and clothing.
Please note the souk is closed on Mondays.
Finally, visit an Argan Oil Cooperative, where local women demonstrate the
traditional extraction process. You'll learn about the benefits of argan oil and support
sustainable economic development in the region.
